What is a recent memory of Nature?
The Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. The extraordinary beauty. I was able to observe and be a part of the Trailing of the Sheep. There were over 1500 sheep herding into Ketchum, Idaho. This is an old Basque Tradition going on for more than 100 years. For me, it’s ultimate, it’s the most beautiful. The smell - oh god - it’s so strong. The sheep are so, so, settled. They have the prettiest face. My favorite is Cutie Pie. Oh she’s darling. I was picking apples – the ones that fell to the ground went to the sheep. She was especially cute. She’s black and white. We’re eating apples together. She’s on a lower level ditch and she’s kind of looking up at me with that face. And sheep, they’re big in the middle, they’re just adorable.
